Care & sizing

Made to outlast you. Cared for, it will.

A few quiet habits keep gold and stones as they left the bench — and when a piece needs the bench again, it comes home to us.

A lifetime at the bench

Every Ariek piece carries a lifetime craftsmanship guarantee — guaranteed at the bench that made it. If workmanship ever fails you, the fault and the fix are ours.

Beyond the guarantee, the bench stays open to your piece for life: resizing, repolishing, and re-tipping worn prongs are offered to original buyers at cost, indefinitely. Not as a favour — as the standing arrangement.

Caring for gold

  • After wear, wipe with a soft, dry cloth — skin oils dull the polish faster than anything else.
  • Keep it away from chlorine, bleach, and harsh cleaning products; take it off before pools and cleaning.
  • Remove it for heavy work at the gym, the garden, the kitchen sink — gold is forever, but it is not a tool.
  • Store pieces separately — a soft pouch or a lined box — so they never scratch one another.

Caring for stones

  • Wash gently in warm water with a drop of mild soap and a soft brush, then pat dry — that is all a diamond asks.
  • Skip ultrasonic cleaners unless we've confirmed your stone suits them; some stones and settings do not.
  • Glance at the prongs every few months. If one feels loose or catches on fabric, stop wearing the piece and write to us — re-tipping is a bench service we provide at cost.

The ring size guide

We size in the EU standard: the size is the inner circumference in millimetres. The table converts each size to its inner diameter — the easiest measurement to take at home.

EU sizeInner diameter
4414.0 mm
4514.3 mm
4614.6 mm
4715.0 mm
4815.3 mm
4915.6 mm
5015.9 mm
5116.2 mm
5216.6 mm
5316.9 mm
5417.2 mm
5517.5 mm
5617.8 mm
5718.1 mm
5818.5 mm
5918.8 mm
6019.1 mm
6119.4 mm
6219.7 mm
6320.1 mm
6420.4 mm
6520.7 mm

The most reliable method: take a ring that already fits the intended finger and measure its inner diameter — widest point, inside edge to inside edge — with a ruler, then find it in the table.

String and paper strips stretch and mislead; if that is all you have, measure at the end of the day (fingers run larger) and wrap snugly but not tight.

Unsure between two sizes? Take the larger — resizing is a lifetime bench service, offered at cost.
